On the Balearic Islands the sailors can choose from a number of over 17,000 registered boats and yachts. Above all, Mallorca is the largest island with new marinas being constantly built and existing berths expanding for yacht charter. On the south and east coast of Mallorca there is a large number of marinas and beautiful bays, which are ideal not only for swimming and anchoring, but also for sailing. 30 miles from Palma, on the southern tip of Mallorca, the island of Cabrera is located- a must- to-see during a yacht charter. Each charter customer should know that the island and the water belongs to a nature reserve. An official permit should definitely be sought before any yacht charter which is available through us or at the port authorities. Only a certain number of yachts are authorized in the area of Cabrera, which are only allowed to berth on one of the buoys. There is a bus every 20 minutes to Palma city, although a taxi being the most often used mean of transport. Airport transfers can be arranged through us. There are also good flights to Ibiza. Ferries connect the Balearic Islands with each another. In Mallorca the main season, also for a yacht charter is definitely between May and September. The mild climate is then, but also outside of these months, ideal for yacht charter.

Wind + Weather

During a yacht charter stronger winds can arise especially on the north coast of Mallorca. Otherwise mostly light to moderate westerly winds dominate. In winter good and rainy weather alternates and the temperature rarely drops below 11 degrees.

Cultural History

Over the centuries, the Balearic Islands have been accessed by a lot of sailors because of their favorable geographical location in the Mediterranean: Phoenicians, Greeks, Carthaginians, Romans and Arabs. The estates of these times can be visited in local museums during a yacht charter.
